What is OCS?

  • Data centers have been using OCS technology for several years to route light signals efficiently between large fiber arrays at high aggregation points
  • Uses a tiny, movable 3D-MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) mirrors to bounce light beams through the air (Free Space Optics)
  • Lens arrays collimate & focus light to ensure accurate movement between any two fiber connections within a large number of input/output Fiber Arrays
